What can I expect if I visit?

It is our hope that you will feel extremely welcomed the moment you arrive. Come early if you’d like, grab a cup of coffee and make some new friends. If you have children, you can drop them off in our fun-loving, clean and safe Preschool or Children’s Ministry, before heading into the worship center for a passionate, contemporary worship experience and a practical message from God’s Word. No matter what your background is or what you believe, you will be welcomed at Refuge Church because we believe that this is a reflection of God’s heart!

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. Our heart is that you enjoy yourself in a relaxed, life-giving environment where you can learn about growing in your relationship with God, connecting with others, and most of all, experiencing God’s love for you.

Where will Refuge Athens meet?

Refuge Church Athens Campus will meet at 1412 Lindsay Lane, Athens, AL 35613. From HWY 72, turn on the Lindsay Lane. Refuge Church Athens Campus will be on the left.

What should I wear?

Come in what is most comfortable to you because Refuge Church is not about what you look like or what you wear. We are about loving God and loving people. (Matthew 22:37-39)

What kind of church is Refuge Church?

Refuge Church is a multicultural, non-denominational church that seeks to provide a real, relevant, and enjoyable environment for people to encounter God and be transformed by His love into fully devoted followers of Christ. We seek to share His love with others as we continue in the mission of “being a refuge to a hurting world” in and around Athens and Limestone County.
